Newborn infant photographer Denver - Everytime we photograph a newborn baby we feel honored and amazed! We use natural light and home environments to make these portraits real and meaningful to you. We love to come to your home to photograph your baby for the first time in your own enviroment, where everyone is comfortable and the baby feels safe and at ease. You can use your own special blankets, baskets, or baby bed and we'll bring a few nice things, too. As experienced baby photographers, we've learned a few tricks to making the first portrait a success and are happy to share them with you.

Baby and Child photographer Denver - We have two children of our own so we know how important it is to document these growing, changing little people. We recommend scheduling portraits of your child at newborn, three months, six months, nine months, one year, eighteen months, two years old and then every year after, but of course that is just a general rule. Any age is the perfect time to photograph your child!

Pregnancy and Maternity photographer Denver - Beth is a professional female photographer and a mother of two small children. Does she remember being pregnant? Oh, yeah! Sometimes you feel gorgeous, sometimes you feel huge ... one thing is for sure; you aren't going to look like this for very long. A "mother to be" turns in to a new mom! You can schedule this portrait session later in your pregnancy and it can be nude, semi nude or fully clothed - whatever your comfort level.

Family portrait photographer Denver - We look for natural and spontaneous expressions and it's easier to get this in a relaxed setting. We can suggest several very "Colorado" looking locations that are easy to get to and fun to photograph. Home Portraits are great, too!

Our photography studio is divided into two separate businesses.

Paul Wedlake Photography is a commercial photography studio based in Denver, Colorado whose client base includes small businesses, large corporations, colleges and universities, medical facilities and national and local publications. Capabilities include digital capture, editing and archiving as well as studio and location photography and location scouting. Paul has a degree in photojournalism and started his career with Ford Motor Company in their "in house" studio. He also worked with several other large car studios in Detroit working on automotive photography. For the past ten years, Paul has been a freelance photographer and president of Wedlake Studios, Inc. since 2001. Paul's client base is diverse and working with prop stylists, assistants, art directors and the creative team behind the project is the norm. Paul can also work with clients directly on scheduling, hiring models, building sets, prop hunting, location scouting and managing post production of images.

Wedlake Photographic is a small home based photography studio in Denver, Colorado. We treat each wedding and portrait session as an opportunity to create exceptional images that will be cherished and loved. We believe in a lifetime of learning and perfecting our craft through seminars, workshops, exhibits, and experience. Denver Photographers, Beth and Paul Wedlake work individually and as a husband and wife team to create your portraits. We also occasionally use other professional photographers to assist us on weddings. Beth Wedlake has over thirteen years experience as a portrait photographer and wedding photographer in Denver, Colorado. She received an Associate degree in Portrait Photography and worked with several award winning studios before opening Wedlake Photographic. She has received awards for her photography from Professional Photographers of Colorado, the Gilpin County Arts Association, Lakewood Arts Council and Evergreen Naturalists Audubon Society . Beth is a member of Wedding & Portrait Photographers International and Wedding Photographers of Colorado.
Paul Wedlake has a degree in Photojournalism and takes assignments all over the country and world. He is an accomplished commercial photographer and editorial photographer in Denver, Colorado whose work has appeared in national publications. This makes him uniquely qualified to photograph weddings in a photojournalistic style. Paul is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers.
